Hoosier Ed is a comprehensive, bipartisan K-12 education blog sponsored by the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) at the University of Indianapolis in partnership with Darvel Communications and Veteran Strategies.

Hoosier Ed is a “virtual water cooler” dedicated to K-12 education, and we’ve recruited an expansive, bipartisan advisory board to ensure all sides are represented at the table as we tackle the toughest, most important topics.

Each week, we’ll post different views on a particular subject and fling wide the gates to debate that issue.

We’ll also post breaking news and other articles of interest to an audience that’s passionate about education. http://hoosiered.com/

Veterans:

The best book for understanding Veterans' Benefits is written by a Veteran:  47 Secret Veterans' Benefits for Seniors by Victoria L. Collier, JD

The VA does not tell people who inquire about applying for benefits that you can subtract all recurring, non-reimbursed medical expenses to determine whether your income is above or below the permissible limits.  This is only one example of helpful information offered in this book.

The most respected online resource for VA's Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit and ranked #1 nationally is: VeteranAid.org
