Blue Collar Benefit Monitor
Retired workers helping each other
About

This web site is managed by recently (2008) retired autoworkers (Andy LaPorte and Randy Bennett)  who spent 31 and 35 years respectively with General Motors.  They have the same benefit concerns that everyone else has.

Although there may be some differences between Ford, Chrysler, GM, automotive supply companies, and other organized labor markets, this concept can be applied to the entire blue collar workforce of this great nation. All blue collar workers across the country will have the opportunity to find each other in an environment that will alert laborers to like issues as quickly as possible.

Our goal is to offer a valuable tool to fill an unmet need.  Most of us may not know each other, and are increasingly isolated in retirement. Every member should concentrate on helping each other with what we have in common---OUR BENEFITS!  Joining forces with many others where each individual has equal concerns is our Goal.

This concept should also serve to help the Companies, and the Unions, who provide the benefits we are fortunate to have.  Being open is good for business and the Unions who administer many of our Health Care Benefits in the form of a VEBA.
